Afo orthotic friendly. Wide width. Comfort orthopedic
It’s that time of year when we’re all tired of wearing sweaters and snow boots and ready to pull out the warm weather clothes. Although the days are longer and temps are beginning to rise, it’s not yet warm enough to go outside without layers, or to wear sandals without getting hypothermia.

Do you remember when we had to have our photos developed before viewing the images? The days when selfies weren’t even a thing and group shots didn’t involve a million retakes? Back then, we had no way of knowing if our arms looked flabby or if our leg braces were showing in photos until we picked up the physical prints.
Prior to COVID, the instantaneous replacement of leftover Halloween candy and costumes with Christmas trees and holiday paraphernalia was annoying. But this year, OMG! I’ll take 500 tinsel bags, 50 sparkly ornaments, and 20 mistletoes (says the Jewish girl).
Before launching Trend-Able, only my immediate family (and a few men I dated postdivorce -TMI?) had actually seen me in my afos (ankle-foot orthosis). I mostly kept them hidden under my clothing, not so much out of shame (age & Xanax helped with that) but more because, here comes the cliché, they don’t define me.
The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is like the Super Bowl for fashion bargain-hunters! There’s a huge build-up, enticing ads, and two teams (you and your credit card) pumped and ready for the win. Your Nordstrom credit card is your VIP ticket to early access and the best seats in the house.

If you wear afos (or orthotics) like I do, then you know how hard it can be to find shoes in general, let alone ones that are actually stylish. Believe me, I get it.
Wearing pajamas all day is so 2020! I don’t know about you, but I’m so over half-dressed Zoom cocktail parties and all other so called “social” virtual events. I want to see real people in person. I want to order a cocktail from an actual bar and eat yummy appetizers that someone else has catered.…
My name is Cori Fischer. I am 20 years old and have a movement disorder that requires me to wear an AFO brace on each leg. Summer can be a tough season, especially with clothes. I know how hard it can be if you don’t want your braces, or scars, to show all of the time, but most summer clothes require you to do so. I have had six leg surgeries & as a result, have many scars on my legs which can sometimes be nice to cover up on occasion.
